June 18, 2008 | | The Makawao Rodeo General Store has been closed for over six month due to new ownership and a major renovation. Yesterday was their Grand Reopening! Today, I strolled in with excitement after overhearing the buzz about the new deli food bar. It's been gutted completely and renewed! The new layout is smart and the samplings from few of their salad offerings were delicious. I tried a bit of the Kale Caesar Salad and the Kung Pao Cabbage. The wine cellar is still in the same place and is now expanded. Makawao has been longing for venue of healthy, delicious and affordable food to go.
